Volunteering at Hexagon Center is like being in an academy where you are trained in more than just techonolgy and cybersecurity. You will find yourself creating and part of a strong network of people who have the desire to help others.


You don't need to know about cybersecurity

Don't be intimidated by cybersecurity. First of all, you may be underestimating yourself. But with the many opportunities to volunteer, you don't need to know anything about technology or cybersecurity. For example, you can help us proofread or fact check.

Learn along the way or just lend us some muscles to help us at events. Let's work togetherto help make cyber and technology safer everday for our community.

  • Ambassadors ⬢

    As a frontend volunteer, Ambassadors simply tell people about Hexagon Center. Promoting HX Weekly, our one-a-week newsletter, helps keep our community informed and aware of the latest cyber threats.

    Join Hexagon Center's network of volunteers as an Ambassador and go out there to tell people about the resources that are available to help them with technology and cybersecurity.

  • Editors + Designers

    If you love words or pictures, we invite you to join us to be a backend volunteer as an editor or a designer. Your talents will help us better inform the public about cybersecurity and warn everyone about cyber threats.

    Our volunteer editors and designers are crucial in helping us be more connected to the general public for more effective messaging. People of all ages and background are needed.

  • Community Event Agents

    Since cybersecurity affects everyone in real life, our messages need to reach out to people in-person as well. Community Event Agents join us in events of all types to tell people about cybersecurity and help them with technology.

    This is a fun and experiential work. There may be some simple requirements you need to meet but you will learn so much. Join Hexagon Center to develop people to help people.

  • Security Researchers

    A big part of cybersecurity includes fighting disinformation, dispelling misinformation, and combating mal-information. It is important to have clear, accurate information when you are online - including facts about people.

    Security Researchers help us observe information and join us in battling the malicious spread of information that is not true or accurate. Everybody is welcome and needed for this work.

Hexagon Center is about bringing the community together to strengthen cybersecurity as a whole.

There will always be security issues in today's world. Most of the time it's because of one of us. The Center is here to help reduce that impact and create measures and means to keep us secure in the cyber world.
